Finning will be among the leading brands on show at the Construction and Quarry Machinery Show

Held at Molloy’s Quarry in Tullamore, the Construction and Quarry Machinery Show (CQMS), is Ireland’s leading construction, mining and recycling event aimed to attract and unite the industry allowing distributors, like Finning UK & Ireland who are the world’s largest dealer of Cat® equipment, to connect with their customers. The event has also commissioned the services of Finning Power Rental to provide power for the show.

As well as having a chance for a first-hand look at some of the most popular Cat machines and generators including diesel generator sets DE50E0 and DE110GC, visitors to the show will also be able to talk to the team of Finning experts. David Glenn, Regional Sales Manager for Finning Ireland explains: “The Construction and Quarry Machinery Show is one of the biggest events in construction for Ireland, and we’re excited to be attending this year alongside other big brands.  “We look forward to the chance to meet many of our customers face to face – and to show off not just the equipment but to meet some of the service team.

The Finning team will be on hand to discuss the machines on show that are available to buy new or used with a big focus on the aftermarket offering to customers, which includes tailor made service and support packages, as well as off-the shelf warranties. This year’s bi-annual event will take place on 21st and 22nd April and brings together leading brands from the construction and quarry industries, featuring demonstrations of machinery at work.

It’s on! https://cqms.ie/its-on/ Fri, 28 Oct 2022 08:58:44 +0000 https://cqms.ie/?p=50783

Irelands biggest and best dedicated construction and quarrying machinery equipment show CQMS returns to Tullamore in 2023 providing a working environment to see the latest plant in action.

If you already have a 2023 diary, make sure you save these dates: April 22 and 23! On these two days Irelands Construction and Quarrying Machinery Show (CQMS) returns to Molloys Quarry, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Jointly sponsored by Capital Flow and the Irish Plant Contractors Association (IPCA) the 2023 show has live demo areas, exhibitors as well as a programme of discussion panels with government ministers, Industry experts, tips and advice on how to protect and grow your business. CQMS is the best place to check out the broad range of construction and quarrying plant options available, talk to the guys selling them and in many cases, see them in action in our live demo area in what is a working quarry environment.

Show organiser Brian Coogan commented: The last CQMS took place in September 2021 at the height of the pandemic when pretty much every other trade show was cancelled. Despite this we had good attendance and our exhibitors reported that they did good business. This really demonstrates the resilience of our industry. Even in the toughest times people still want to get out and carry on their business and see whats new.

In 2023 we have moved the show back to April and back into a quarry environment, adds Brian. Were back in Tullamore bigger and better than ever with an emphasis on quarry plant and new equipment. We will be featuring a dedicated access equipment zone as well as a tipper truck section and many of the big Chinese brands like Sany, LiuGong, Shantui and others. We will cover a wide range of plant from across the construction, quarrying, recycling and demolition tools sectors with, in all, more than 200 exhibitors expected.

What the industry says

Shannon Valley Groups Mick English is anticipating a great event in 2023. Im looking forward to a mini Bauma or Hillhead here in Ireland, he told us, although of course CQMS is considerably easier to get to than those events. Its a great place to see new machines of different types and hook up with all the people you need to see all in one place.

Mike Harrington, MD of Harrington Plant Hire is also looking forward to the show. I am interested in seeing whats available in electric plant,he told us. With all the talk about electric vehicles and zero carbon I am hoping to check out the electric excavator and crusher options as well as whats available for recycling and reusing materials on site. It is a great place to meet up with people too.

Dermot Cunnie of Dungannon-based Glendun Plant sales is already a fan of CQMS, We were at the last CQMS as an exhibitor,he says. We were very surprised by the quality of the people attending, they really meant business and we sold equipment at the show, including a wood chipper which could be seen as a real achievement at a quarry show!

Dermot is keen to demonstrate Glenduns range of electric and low-emissions machines. We will be featuring hybrid boom lifts on our stand as well as lithium ion battery and solar-powered lighting towers as well as the wood chippers and other machinery.
